Originally owned by Endel (part of Suez Group), Entrepose Echaffaudages and Mills are the leaders in the French scaffolding and structural support rental market with a 22% share, far ahead of their nearest competitors. These two operating companies were spun out of Endel as stand-alone entities with the support of TCR Capital, who created a special purpose vehicule, Scaff’holding, to integrate them.
With the support of TCR Capital, the group has been able to develop its network of 25 branches nationwide, providing essential value-added services through its engineering department, unparallelled supply of material and quality of service, as well as its proximity to clients (residential, municipal and industrial). With a revitalized and financially implicated management team as a result of the spin-off from Endel, the companies are now also seeing strong growth in their international divisions, Brazil and Spain in particular, in addition to the development in France.
The companies are also expected to benefit from the increasing health and safety regulations within the European Union which require additional amounts of scaffolding on all types of construction. Following a recapitalisation in 2005, the management team is now looking to accelerate the expansion program.
